Transforming the Southwestern Medical District for Health and Nature

UPCOMING ENGAGEMENT FINDINGS

How do you experience the District? Take a walking tour of Harry Hines – either in person or virtually! The tour provides opportunities for you to engage with the streetscape, identify challenges and opportunities, and explore potential alternative scenarios.

VISION OBJECTIVES

We are continuing to refine our vision with the engagement findings and our discussions with partner agencies. Check out how we are going to design for human health!

TOURING THE DISTRICT

On November 17th, the Team brought members of Dallas Fire Rescue and Dallas Police Department into the District to workshop some of the proposed improvements. The group discussed emergency routes and safety precautions for multi-modal transportation. Thank you DFR and DPD for your engagement and continued support!

PARTNER IMPLEMENTATION WORKSHOP

Representatives from different partner agencies met on November 18th to discuss the project. Participants from TTF, Southwestern Medical District, City of Dallas, North Central Texas Council of Government, Dallas County, DART, Kimley-Horn, Freese & Nichols, and PWP met to discuss the proposed area transportation changes and hear an overview of the Green Spine Vision. The group also reviewed and provided input on the proposed 4-lane cross-section for Harry Hines and discussed an implementation strategy
