Green Jobs Work Force Program

Earn, Learn, And Make a Difference

The Green Jobs Work Force Program is underway as of 2024!
Interested in joining the next cohort?

If you are 18-24 years old and interested in a career in urban forestry, please apply to the next cohort of our newly launched Green Jobs Training Program.

Young Adults Transforming Dallas into a Greener, Cleaner & Cooler Community

The Foundation's jobs training program will meet the growing needs for a trained workforce in urban forestry and arboriculture that will provide young adults, 18-24 years of age; a paid work experience designed to create Connection, Career Path, and Community.

Individuals will be introduced to urban forestry, arboriculture, landscape design, and other green careers through classroom and hands-on training. Hands-on training will consist of tree-planting projects and tree maintenance projects ranging from mulching, pruning, staking, watering, and weeding.

Program Goals & Impact

The Foundation's Jobs Training Program will consult local employers to ensure participants are trained in entry-level skills needed to obtain/retain employment. Our primary goal is to train and create a pipeline of young adults in environmental disciplines, leading to permanent employment in the green jobs sector.
