Eric Wettengel, a DFW native, is the Urban Forestry Manager at the Texas Trees Foundation. With a decade-long background in archaeology and over six years of experience in urban forestry, Eric brings a unique perspective to his advocacy for increasing green spaces and utilizing native trees. An alumnus of Tarrant County College, Texas State University, and the University of Texas at Austin, he combines his rich educational background with his professional experience to enhance urban environments. Eric's dedication to sustainable forestry practices is driven by his commitment to creating healthier, greener communities through strategic tree planting and landscape management.
In his role at the Texas Trees Foundation, Eric leverages his extensive knowledge and passion for the environment to promote the importance of urban forestry.
