The end of April was our time to shine here at Texas Trees Foundation! We had the honor of celebrating both Arbor Day and Earth Day with tree plantings and tree giveaways.
Check out the work we did in your local communities!
The day before Earth day, DHL Americas Supply Chain volunteers joined us to plant 30 trees at the Cannon Parkway Park in City of Roanoke, Texas.
Thanks to more than 75 volunteers and their families, we potted 70 tree seedlings to grow out at the TXU Energy Urban Tree Farm & Education Center. On top of all the hard work put in by this great group of volunteers, Texas Tree Foundation happily accepted a very generous donation so that we can keep contributing to a healthy supply of trees for the future.
We were happy to partner with bellagreen for one of our favorite holidays, Earth Day! On Earth Day, we gave away dozens of Texas red oaks and bald cypress tree seedlings to guests at bellagreen.
We were honored to work with such a great partner that values our green mission as they continued to have Earth Day activities every day that week! Texas Trees and bellagreen also have a changing “seasonal plate” where part of the proceeds goes toward purchasing tree seedlings to plant locally! We were very happy to spend Earth Day here and commend the work being done by bellagreen to practice sustainable ways to preparing food and greening local communities.
Ninnie Baird Park Tree Donation Ceremony
With the sponsorship of TXU Energy, Texas Trees Foundation worked with the City of Fort Worth’s representative as well as representatives from the Heritage Life HOA to donate 10 Redbud trees to Ninnie Baird Park.
Attendees included Fort Worth Councilman Cary Moon, and City Forester Rustin Stephens who joined us to commemorate the donation! We're proud to work with TXU Energy and contribute to their goal of 300,000 trees added to communities under their "Trees Across Texas" program.
